As beverage wholesales prepare to invade the Big Easy, CBB is here to give you the lastest updates. The National Beer Wholesalers Association’s (NBWA) 77th Annual Convention will take place Sept. 28-Oct. 1 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans. During the general session on Sep. 29, President of Gretz Beer Co. and NBWA Communications and Public Affairs Committee Chairman Mike Gretz will moderate a panel of representatives from four breweries of various sizes. Participants include:

  • John Bryant, co-founder, No-Li Brewhouse
  • Steven Crandall, founder, Devils Backbone Brewing Co.
  • Tom Long, CEO, MillerCoors LLC
  • Tony Magee, founder of Lagunitas Brewing Co.

These brewery leaders will share their views on issues facing the beer industry and discuss the strengths of the American beer distribution system.

“You’d be hard pressed to identify an industry that is as dynamic, exciting and competitive as is the beer industry today,” said NBWA President and CEO Craig Purser. “From the growth in the number of new breweries and choices for American consumers to the expansion and innovation by established global brands, the beer industry is experiencing a renaissance and distributors are adding value and expanding that growth every day.”

“Brewers come in all shapes and sizes: mega-brewers, micro-brewers, regional brewers, nano-brewers, organic brewers, domestic brewers and import brewers … whatever the name, beer provides pure, liquid refreshment to millions of thirsty Americans,” Purser said. “NBWA is thrilled to bring together, a true cross section of leadership representing the American brewing industry.”
