Beer Institute releases domestic tax paid estimate (welcome back to work)

While you were busy overdosing on Christmas ale and ham hock this holiday (we know you because we are you), the beer industry continued to motor. Just take example A: The Beer Institute published an unofficial estimate of domestic tax paid by beer brewers. The November 2015 domestic tax paid estimate is 12,127,000 barrels (bbls). November 2014 removals were 12,528,000 (revised) for a decrease of 3.2 percent. Please note that the estimates below for January through May of both 2014 and 2015 reflect revised estimates released by the TTB.

    Wow, so if 15 taxes are less than 14, beer consumption actually decreased over 2 million bbls? Is this just craft beer or does it include big beer?
