Brewery reservation system CellarPass partners with Yelp

July 1, 2014Chris Crowell

CellarPass, the first online reservations system designed for winery, brewery and distillery tasting rooms and special events, announced a strategic partnership with Yelp. Under the agreement, visitors searching for wineries, distilleries and breweries can book tasting experiences and tours 24/7 using the CellarPass proprietary reservation and ticketing solution newly linked on Yelp.com.

For tasting rooms, CellarPass provides a robust guest management platform vital to promoting their events to a nationwide audience.

Yelp was founded in 2004 and now counts more than 53 million local reviews. The marketing partnership between Yelp and CellarPass marks the first-ever integration of a reservation-based platform into Yelp’s new transaction platform, and is a major milestone in the growth of CellarPass.

“This partnership is a tremendous enhancement to our service – it gives our CellarPass member destinations immediate exposure to Yelp’s more than 150 million visitors each year,” said CellarPass Co-founder Jonathan Elliman.

Patrick Egan is Director of Marketing for Boisset Family Estates and an early-adopter CellarPass destination member. “The CellarPass collaboration with Yelp.com strengthens what was already one of the most innovative partners we have in bringing wine enthusiasts to our dynamic, educational and engaging wine country experiences,” Egan said. “We are excited. The relationship will lead to even more and better experiences for our visitors.”

Those booking tours and tastings through CellarPass links on Yelp pages will experience all of the benefits familiar to regular CellarPass users, including real-time availability, instant confirmations and reminder emails, all without ever leaving the Yelp site.

For tasting rooms, CellarPass provides a robust guest management platform vital to promoting their events to a nationwide audience while connecting with their guests in ways that enhance the visitor experience and build long-lasting relationships.
