Bull_City_Homebrew_Logo-1198989194204High-volume businesses like brewing need simple solutions to manage production. Founded in 2010, Bull City Homebrew is a premier homebrewing and winemaking retailer based in Durham, N.C., and the company was looking for a way to streamline its business. Bull City features the largest selection of brewing materials and grains in the local area, and to support its business objectives and growth needs, the company turned to Epicor Software Corp. as a technology partner that can support today’s business facets and tomorrow’s future expansion.

Epicor recently announced Bull City Homebrew has selected Epicor’s Eagle N Series retail business management solution to support its future growth strategy, streamline store operations and reinforce its best-in-class customer experience guarantee.

“Our typical customers range from the experienced homebrewers to those who are just getting started in the industry,” said Scott Hackett, owner of Bull City Homebrew. “They rely on us to supply them with the market’s best homebrewing materials and training, and our primary goal is to provide them with outstanding service to keep them brewing with our goods. Innovative technology to back our services was the next step in giving our customers what they need. Our investment in the new Epicor Eagle N Series will further elevate our brick-and-mortar store operations, but also gives us the flexibility to move into eCommerce in the future.”

Quick question: ERP or best-of-breed? Pick the best software for your brewing operations.

Epicor is a leader delivering business software solutions to the manufacturing, distribution, retail and services industries. With more than 40 years of experience serving small, midmarket and larger enterprises, Epicor has more than 20,000 customers in over 150 countries. Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP), retail management software, supply chain management (SCM) and human capital management (HCM) enable companies to drive increased efficiency and improve profitability.

Additionally, to support business objectives, the company will leverage tablets to enable mobile checkout and allow for access to customer information on the spot. “There are times when we are very busy and need to have multiple registers open, or are selling products outside of the store. The flexibility of the solution to work on tablets, in addition to a traditional point of sale station, is extremely advantageous for the evolution of our business,” said Hackett.

Epicor Eagle N Series helps thousands of retailers across North America create more efficient, more profitable businesses that result in more satisfied customers and increased customer loyalty. From the customer-facing Epicor Eagle point of sale system that delivers more personalized customer service leveraging wireless and mobile tools, special order processing, and more, through to integrated inventory management, purchasing and receiving — retailers have the information they need to outservice the competition.

“With a wide array of inventory and custom products, a homebrewing business is complex and very specialized,” said Doug Smith, director of product management and marketing, retail distribution solutions for Epicor. “Epicor is proud to partner with Bull City Homebrew to provide technology offerings that will help it fulfill business initiatives and continue with its presence as a leader in the homebrewing market.”
