Cool idea: Connecting digital signage, craft beer displays with a content management system

July 15, 2020Chris Crowell

The MetroClick network is an all-in-one digital solution that engages and educates consumers at point of purchase. MetroClick measures consumer engagement and provides detailed analytics enabling the marketer to maximize effectiveness in real time. The flexible network can be used in a wide variety of retail environments, including in-shelf and floor displays, and content can be deployed remotely. They offer a robust catalogue of fixturing and display options.

“There are multiple advantages for the craft brewer to engage with in-store digital signage, starting with the brewer’s marketing team being able to connect with consumers at the key stage of the customer journey – the point the of decision,” says long-time alcohol beverage industry entrepreneur and technology innovator Ken Aufiero, Managing Director of Canton Enterprises. His company recently announced a new partnership with MetroClick, having acquired its former Moblty network of interactive digital screens for the beer, wine, and spirits industry.

“Next, there is the ability to deploy content in real time, based upon who is engaging with the screen, through a content management system,” he continues. “This enables the craft brewer to provide a unique customer experience inside bricks and mortar retail.”

Canton Enterprises role in all of thise will be to significantly enhance MetroClick’s product offerings and expand the network’s reach, including the introduction of innovative, new touch panels with antimicrobial glass to protect consumers.

In a different, non-pandemic world, you could see craft breweries also using these displays to enhance customer experience within the brewery tasting room or though social media interactions to emphasize their promotions via in-store digital signage activity.

“We think there are benefits for the brewer such as sales growth and greater brand loyalty, as well as increased success potential for new product launches and other promotions,” Aufiero says.
