Devils Backbone Brewing and Lewis & Clark capitalize on GP Analytics software

Looking for next generation forecasting and supply-chain system management software? Give GP Analytics a try.

GP Analytics LLC, a cloud-based software solution for craft brewers, recently announced two new partnership agreements with Devils Backbone Brewing Co. of Roseland, Va., and Lewis & Clark Brewing Co. of Helena, Mont. These two new partnerships not only expand GP Analytics’ client base but increase its reach from West coast to East coast.

GP Analytics’ cloud-based software provides solutions for craft brewers with the primary focus being extremely accurate forecasting, production management and supply chain logistics. The software is managed by a GP Analytics team member who works directly with the partner brewers to ensure they have the most up-to-date information at their fingertips so they can easily alter production.

“We chose to work with GP Analytics as a vital part of our aggressive growth strategy. Since our expansion into our new facility and moving to canning, our sales and production have more than quadrupled. After three years of over 50 percent year over year growth we knew we needed some help,” said Max Pigman, owner of Lewis & Clark Brewing. “Our head brewer had done a great job up to this point of predicting what to brew and what to package in his head based on his years of experience, but nothing can compare to the accuracy of real-time analytics. We signed up with GP Analytics after talking to several of their current customers and hearing how much it has made a positive impact on fast-growing breweries like ours.”

GP Analytics designed the software to be the next generation of forecasting and supply-chain system management. The system utilizes a seasonal trend, forward-looking approach that helps breweries of all sizes better manage their production schedule, balance inventory (throughout the supply chain) and more efficiently ship beer to their wholesaler. The overall goal is to help brewers supply consumers with the freshest beer while continuing to grow at a sustainable rate.

“We’re a brewery that tries to maintain a set of diverse offerings alongside a portfolio-dominating and rapidly growing flagship. We never want to stock out of Vienna Lager, nor do we want it to be the only thing we brew,” said Hayes Humphreys, chief operating officer of Devils Backbone Brewing. “GP Analytics helps take the guesswork out of production forecasting, which allows us to allocate the right amount of tank space to Vienna and use the rest for a variety of other beers.”

GP Analytics’ ability to provide an accurate data-driven forecast allows its partners to see short-term and long-term growth trends in their markets and beyond. With a forecasting accuracy rate of 97 percent or better, its partners can grow rapidly and sustainably. Additionally, the cloud-based portal gives its partners all the information they need for day-to-day production, packaging and shipping needs.

“Our team at GP Analytics is extremely proud to partner with a range of great craft breweries and are excited to start our new partnerships with these award-winning brewers,” said Brian Belobradic, founder and president of GP Analytics. “It shows that both large and small craft brewers see the worth and the need for very accurate forecasting, planning and supply chain execution that only advanced technology can provide.”
