National Geographic profiles booming craft beer segment

November 20, 2014Jason Morgan

“We’re only part of the way back to the diversity [in breweries] we once had … this really is a revolution,” Brooklyn Brewery Brewmaster Garrett Oliver explains in National Geographic‘s profile.

Sure, you know National Geographic for its outstanding photography and excellent, insightful editorial. As we know here at Craft Brewing Business, often the small breweries right in your own backyard are just as exciting and adventurous as a globe-trotting story from around the world. As the number of craft breweries grows quickly beyond 3,000 in the United States, and whispers of the word “bubble” float about in economic circles, Oliver’s point of view is important to remember: Craft brewers, such as yourself, could just be scratching the surface of what’s possible. A revolution, indeed.
