With a background in science and manufacturing, Jennifer Olson-Morzenti should add extra smarts to the already clever Ninkasi crew.

In late September, Jennifer Olson-Morzenti was named vice president of operations at Ninkasi Brewing Co. With more than 20 years of experience in personnel and project management, primarily in the biotech industry, Olson-Morzenti seems well positioned to lead the strategy and execution of Ninkasi’s plant operations.

“Jennifer’s impressive background in science and manufacturing will be a huge asset for Ninkasi,” said Ninkasi CEO and Co-Founder Nikos Ridge. “As we undertake a company-wide effort to establish the safest workplace, focus on continuous improvement, and produce the highest quality beer, her knowledge, skills and energy will help us drive progress toward these goals.”

Before joining Ninkasi, Olson-Morzenti was part of the operational leadership team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she also held a variety of roles managing health, safety and quality efforts for the company. She first started working in the biotech industry in 2001, when she joined Aventis Bio-Services/IBR as their Quality Systems and Safety Manager. Prior to this, she spent six years with the United States Air Force as a Public Health Journeyman. Olson-Morzenti’s wealth of experience will help strengthen Ninkasi’s production, supply chain and operations.

Since May of this year, Olson-Morzenti has led Ninkasi’s operations, which covers many critical elements of producing the beer from start to finish, including the brewery’s supply chain, cellar, packaging and maintenance. Good luck to her and Ninkasi Brewing.
