Oskar Blues to open third CHUBurger location

Oskar Blues to open third CHUBurger location
Bring us your finest BUFFburgers and a pair of Dale’s Pale Ales to wash’em down.

Like many classic pairings (this is where I would write my umpteenth PB&J lede), beer and food is a match made in heaven. Many brewers opt for a brewpub to support their budding beer business, and Oskar Blues is taking its food offering to the next level by opening its third CHUBurger location. What’s a CHUBurger? A 3,700-square-foot facility that serves up handcrafted burgers, an extensive beer selection and a live local music scene. CHUBurger is known for inventive burgers made with high-quality, Hops & Heifers Farm-approved, 100 percent Angus beef. The Oskar Blues farm, Hop & Heifers, partners with Meyer Natural Angus to provide premium beef free of antibiotics and hormones that is grass-fed using spent grain.

“Our fooderies feature handcrafted food to pair with our handcrafted beer,” said Chef Jason Rogers. “We make a damn good burger that’s as good as the beer we brew.”

Oskar Blues says to expect more than just basic beef burgers. CHUBurger serves up a “BUFFburger” made with fresh all-natural local bison, an “OMEGAburger” featuring wild Coho salmon with Greek yogurt tartar sauce and the “BERKburger” with a Hops & Heifers raised heritage Berkshire pork patty topped with blue cheese, butter and bacon. Patrons can also build their own burgers with fresh options available to fit your artsy or hipster side. No burger is complete without a side of fries. Dive neck-deep into a plate of fresh hand-cut fries served plain or with roasted shoshito peppers and get addicted to the homemade Oskar Blues ginger ketchup.

The extensive craft beer tap and bottle and can lineup will include Oskar Blues Brewery’s core brews along with seasonal and limited releases. Local wine will also be served on tap alongside other signature drinks. “Try before you die” frozen custard shakes and root beer floats using Oskar Blues’ B. Stiff and Sons Old Fashioned Root Beer delivers something the whole family can enjoy.
