ShipCompliant spearheads Oct. 16 conference on three-tier regulations and technology

October 8, 2014Keith Gribbins

We swear. These guys make awesome software.
These nature lovers are actually awesome software designers.

Based in Boulder, Colo., ShipCompliant is a SaaS compliance and transaction platform for the alcohol beverage industry. With over 10 years of experience, ShipCompliant provides wine, beer and spirits suppliers and importers with a full suite of web-based software tools to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations for direct and wholesale distribution. Now the company wants to teach you about those regs and technologies in person.

On Oct. 16 in White Plains, N.Y., ShipCompliant will bring together technology leaders, industry experts and regulatory officials at their first-ever ShipCompliant Wholesale Gathering. Beverage alcohol suppliers and wholesalers can register for the all-day October 16 event right over here. The cost is $199 and includes entrance to all panels, breakout sessions, lunch and keynote addresses.

“The three-tier side of the business is 80 years old. Suppliers and wholesalers often utilize old technology and processes, and are confronted with significant regulatory hurdles. All of this has created a tremendous amount of inefficiency — including six-month lead times to get products to market,” said Jeff Carroll, VP of product at ShipCompliant. “This new event will speak to these issues and more, with the intent of bringing more clarity to the business of alcohol distribution.”

Among the topics being covered at the event are new and upcoming improvements to the ShipCompliant Wholesale Platform, new technology tools and partnerships for managing three-tier distribution, and important regulatory updates. Mike Halfacre, director, New Jersey Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control, will speak about regulatory changes in his state. An expert panel will also explore concepts for unifying federal and state label approval processes. All attendees will have the opportunity of signing up for a one-on-one training session with the ShipCompliant Team.
