Building your customer database with this direct, social media marketing tool

social media marketing
Direct engagement with consumers in real time yields current contact information from interested individuals.

Marketing is part art, part science and part throwing heaps of stuff against a wall to see what sticks. And even then, are you completely sure what stuck? For the savvy new school craft brewing marketer out there, this news from HipLogiq might remove some of the guess work.

SocialCentiv is platform for finding new customers on Twitter from HipLoogiq, which has now added an easy way to integrate your customer contact data into the popular e-mail delivery application MailChimp in order to boost your email database.

With SocialCentiv, businesses listen for customers looking for their product or service (Going to the store to buy a new craft beer!), reply directly in real time (Hey, we have what you’re looking for!) and reward them (Here’s a coupon for a free bottle opener as a thank you for your first 6-pack purchase!). In order to download the offer, customers enter their contact information. The direct engagement with consumers in real time yields current contact information from interested individuals.

“That’s where MailChimp comes in,” said Macy English, VP business development of social media marketing company HipLogiq. “Through the power of Twitter and SocialCentiv, businesses collect pertinent contact information and then import it into their MailChimp database. With our patented social listening software, businesses can quickly build a list of very relevant consumers who have expressed intent to buy a product or service.”

How it works

With SocialCentiv’s integration with MailChimp, businesses can authenticate their account under “My Account” and within minutes beef up their database with coveted contact information. As a result, businesses are following up with customers who are already connected and are more likely to respond to an offer, which results in a higher conversion rate and increased business.

“We all know that better lists lead to better results,” said Amy Ellis, MailChimp’s head of integrations and partnerships. “Emailed content is much better received when you have a direct connection to the company sending it. Gaining subscribers through SocialCentiv’s Twitter software helps the businesses who use MailChimp build more robust lists and ensure they are sending content to customers who are engaged and interested in the information they receive. Ultimately, this builds brand loyalty and drives sales.”
