Bluff Mfg. introduces state-of-the-art Keg Flow Rack system

If you didn’t know: Bluff Mfg. is an innovative leader in the fabrication and design of high-quality material handling, dock and warehouse equipment, storage structures and safety barriers. It’s customers include Frito Lay, Lumber Liquidators, Airgas and (maybe soon) your local craft distributor. The company just announced an exciting expansion to its product line — the addition of a state-of-the-art keg flow racking system for craft beer distributors. Keg Flow Racks from Bluff Mfg. simplify the handling of craft beer sixer kegs by seating pallet racks at an angle, sloping downward to allow the keg flow racks to slope forward. This design affords easy access to the sixers at the front of the rack when 60 in. or less. The gravity system keeps the sixers always at the front of the rack for optimal stock rotation and ergonomic picking and handling of the craft beer kegs. The flexible system works with most volumes of keg movement, is easy to install, and extremely durable.

“The Keg Flow Racks were developed one year ago this month and have been field tested and tweaked to provide the best possible solution to the challenge presented to us through North American Material Handling for their customers Favorite Brands and L&F Distributors,” said Andrea Curreri, president of Bluff Mfg. “Several other distributors have since realized the benefits of this economical, ergonomic system. We look forward to providing this product on a national scale to both increase efficiency and reduce injuries associated with craft keg picking.”

Bluff Mfg.’s Keg Flow Racks are available in multiple sizes to fit various warehouse rack dimensions. Standard depths range from 42 to 120 in. and work with most existing rack systems and keg vaults. Installation is simple and requires no welding or bolting. The rack position promotes less strenuous unloading and fewer injuries. The keg flow racking system gives more pick faces and storage density than any traditional keg storage method. Bluff Mfg. will be introducing the Keg Flow Racks to distributors at the 76th Annual National Beer Wholesalers Association Convention. The convention will be held in Las Vegas from Sept. 29-Oct. 2 at Caesars Palace. Bluff Mfg. will present the keg flow racking system at their Booth No. 619.
