ELEMENT is a new concept from Bürkert combining together controllers,
valves and sensors in a highly aesthetic stainless steel design.

Bürkert is one of the world’s leading companies for measurement, control and regulation technology. With more than 2,100 employees in 34 countries, this engineering and manufacturing innovator is constantly creating systems and solutions in response to the dynamic challenges presented by water, steam, gases and (yes) beer. Let’s take for instance Bürkert’s ELEMENT line of valves, sensors and controllers.

The ELEMENT line offers a cleaner environment for hygienic processes that craft brewing requires. The ELEMENT line is quickly becoming a standard in the control of fluids, including steam, corrosive solvents and chemicals or abrasive fluids such as slurries in a wide variety of applications. These valves, sensors and controllers combine the desirable characteristics of engineered polymers with highly washable endurance of stainless steel. There are no coatings, pockets or external pneumatic lines to hinder cleanliness. These valves are delivered with bright visual feedback via signal LEDs or a backlit graphic display.

Factory floor communications and status monitoring are available via simple 4-20mA or a range of digital protocols. ELEMENT valves and sensors can also be linked to the enterprise via Bürkert’s AirLINE bus interface system. The flexible modularity of the different valve, sensor and control components allows for an easy replacement or upgrade as process needs change, while maintaining full compatibility of all process hardware.

The hygienic processing of fluids, mashes, worts, chemicals and onward is a core process for craft brewers. To perfect your fluid control systems, contact the smart folks at Bürkert. They have intimate knowledge and significant insight into the application environments, which traverse a spectrum of processing industries from pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetic, beverage, dairy, juice production, confectionary, pet food and craft brewing.
