GEA booth shows off 3 innovative brewhouse products #CBCPreview

March 12, 2015Chris Crowell

GEA_COMPACT_STARSince 1874, GEA Brewery Systems, also known as Huppmann, has manufactured high-quality brewhouse equipment for facilities all over the world and is one of the leading suppliers of process technology for the brewing industry.

Make sure to stop by the GEA booth (#725) at the upcoming Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America in Portland and have a chat with their brewing engineers as three innovative products for the North American craft brewers are featured.

The CRAFT-STAR is a ready-engineered, skid-mounted 35 US bbl brewhouse, designed to be the right choice for artesian microbreweries in the growing phase.

The COMPACT-STAR program includes fully automated, customizable brewhouses with cast-out quantities up to 100 U.S. bbl. Depending on the equipment and vessel configuration, up to 12 brews per day are possible.

The MILLSTAR steeping conditioned milling concept is an exciting alternative to conventional dry mills. Instead of finely grinding the grain, it is crushed in a way to ensure optimal extraction and subsequent wash-out in the lauter tun. This not only leads to a faster and more efficient lautering process, but also benefits flavor stability of your beer with the crushed grain being less susceptible to oxidation.
