CBB Interview: Boulder Beer brewer explains scheduling challenges, making a good brown ale

October 26, 2017Chris Crowell

So this was our personal favorite in our recent run of interviews. Is it because of the great insight Nick Karsten, head brewer, Boulder Beer Co., gives us about the challenges running his 50-bbl brewhouse (scheduling) or why he’s so fascinated with brown ales? That’s definitely part of it, because he gave us some great answers on the spot and you’ll want to watch those answers in this interview.

But the main reason is he basically shaved that mustache in that morning, after losing a bet, and his head of marketing was so thrilled to recommend him for the interview, so it could live on in video form forever. Being the professional journalists that we are, we were ever so happy to oblige.

So definitely click for the insight into Boulder Beer but stay for the mustache.
