Like it’s done for so many breweries before it, Aquatherm is improving its infrastructure. Aquatherm North America is the U.S. and Canadian subsidiary of one of the world’s leading polypropylene-random (PP-R) pipe system manufacturers. Recently, the company held a grand opening ceremony and open house to celebrate its new 82,000-square-foot headquarters and fabrication facility on April 4 in Lindon, Utah.

Utah Lieutenant Governor Spencer J. Cox, Lindon Mayor Jeff Acerson, and Aquatherm Worldwide executive leadership addressed an enthusiastic crowd of more than 75 guests assembled to see the new facility. Aquatherm leadership traveled from the Worldwide headquarters in Attendorn, Germany, to participate in the momentous occasion.

According to Cox, “As Aquatherm was looking around for a location in the United States, [the leadership] looked at several other states and chose Utah. Although there were many reasons for choosing Utah … most importantly, it was about the people. Aquatherm has a culture of caring about people. It’s a family-run company whose values and culture will fit perfectly here in Utah.”

Aquatherm Grand Opening Attendees
Utah Lieutenant Gov. Spencer J. Cox addressed dozens of attendees during Aquatherm North America’s grand opening celebration.

The symbolism of the Worldwide-North America partnership was represented by a ceremonial heat-fusion connection, which joined two pieces of 6-in. Aquatherm Blue Pipe together, one labeled with a German flag and the other with U.S. and Canadian flags. Just as the company’s heat-fused joints are as strong as the pipe itself, this partnership is built to last.

“We’re so excited! It’s very impressive to see the growth that’s happening in Aquatherm all around the world but especially here in the United States … Utah is going to play a critical role in that growth over time,” Cox added.

Since its inception in 1973, Aquatherm has been the innovation leader in highly engineered polypropylene-random piping. Connected by reliable heat fusion, Aquatherm delivers long-lasting, better-performing, and easier-to-install systems for potable, heating and cooling, industrial and greywater applications. Aquatherm can handle 180°F liquid at 100 psi, is rust-and corrosion-free, has widespread code approvals, comes with a 10-year multimillion dollar warranty and is the only piping system in North America that directly contributes to LEED v4 points.

“This building, its inventory, and the services Aquatherm North America can now provide in a more comprehensive way, is proof of this commitment to our partners and customers. This building also stands as evidence of Aquatherm Worldwide’s commitment to remain the market leader in polypropylene-random (PP-R) pipe systems in North America,” explained Aquatherm Worldwide Co-Managing Director Dirk Rosenberg.

He added: “While this is an additional step, there are still many more steps to take, and we are blessed in having great confidence in our team. With the continued help and support of our Aquatherm partners, we are confident of Aquatherm’s continued growth in the North American market.”

Attendees toured the new facility, which features ample space for operations, including office space for corporate staff, engineering, and quality-assurance laboratories; extensive warehouse space; and a state-of-the-art design and fabrication facility. The warehouse now represents one of the largest concentrations of PP-R piping in North America and will provide customers access to a full inventory line of Aquatherm piping systems ranging from ½- to 24-in.

During the open house, the company’s Design and Fabrication Services Team also performed multiple demonstrations showcasing large-diameter fusion, custom spool and manifold design and creation, and the new Hot Tap Tool, which was designed in partnership with McElroy.

Aquartherm Lt Gov Spencer Cox-001
Utah Lieutenant Governor Spencer J. Cox spoke about Aquatherm’s commitment to the people of Utah as well as how the family-run company’s values fit in perfectly with Utah’s culture.

“We are excited about our new North America headquarters and the opportunities it will afford us and our partners. The building was constructed and designed to ensure the continued expansion and improvement of our Fabrication and Design abilities, which are a material benefit for those who support and use Aquatherm PP-R piping systems,” stated Jordan Hardy, CEO, Aquatherm North America.

The new facility was built to a high environmental standard using a large selection of flagship piping systems (Aquatherm Blue Pipe and Aquatherm Green Pipe) as well as the newer Aquatherm Red Pipe and Aquatherm Black System piping systems, which are in the R&D stage. Aquatherm’s new address is: 825 West 600 North, Lindon, UT 84042.
