The South is rising again. Alabama craft breweries (at least nine we can think of right now) have flourished since the state ABV laws were changed in 2009 (when alcohol content greater than 6 percent was unlawful in the state). One of our favorites is Back Forty Beer Co.; the name is inspired by an old agricultural term referring to the 40 acres of land situated furthest from the barn (classic). Back Forty launched in 2009 with its Naked Pig Pale Ale, and the brewhouse hasn’t stopped making daring and delicious craft beers since (a big nod to its Truck Stop Honey Brown Ale). Just recently the Gadsden, Ala., brewery launched Back Forty TV, the source for all Back Forty series, shorts, docs and other original programming that the company wants to use to market its growing brand. To give readers a little background, we suggest you first take a tour of Back Forty’s brewing facility in downtown Gadsden, watching the video above. After that, visit the Back Forty TV page on YouTube here.
