BJ’s Restaurants dabble in all sorts of world craft beers styles, from the delicate balance of German Kolsch to the robust intensity of Russian Imperial Stout.

BJ’s Restaurants Inc. announced this week the opening of a larger-format brewhouse restaurant in Eugene, Oregon at the Valley River Center. The new restaurant replaces an older, smaller-format BJ’s Pizza and Grill location that was opened in 1997. The new BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is approximately 8,500 sq ft, contains seating for approximately 270 guests and features BJ’s extensive menu including BJ’s signature deep-dish pizza, award-winning handcrafted beer and famous Pizookie dessert.

BJ’s contemporary décor and unique entertainment statement, including BJ’s 103-in. plasma display as well as several high-definition flat panel televisions, creates a high energy, fun and family-friendly dining environment. Plus the brewhouse theme gets craft beer drinkers through the doors.

“We are very excited to bring our larger format brewhouse restaurant to our many loyal fans in Eugene,” commented Greg Trojan, president and chief executive officer. “The new Valley River BJ’s is our third restaurant in Oregon joining our successful larger format brewhouse restaurant in Hillsboro and our small-format BJ’s Pizza & Grill restaurant in Jantzen Beach. To date, we have opened five new restaurants and we remain on track to open 12 additional restaurants before the end of fiscal 2013.”

Investors are reminded that the actual number and timing of new restaurant openings is subject to a number of factors outside of the company’s control including, but not limited to, weather conditions and factors under the control of landlords, contractors and regulatory/licensing authorities.

BJ’s Restaurants Inc. currently owns and operates 134 casual dining restaurants under the BJ’s Restaurant & Brewery, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, BJ’s Pizza & Grill and BJ’s Grill brand names.
