Blue Aquatherm pipe gets a makeover (its integrity in the brewhouse stays the same)

September 6, 2016Keith Gribbins

Aquatherm Blue Pipe Gets a Makeover
Aquatherm enters its extra blue period.

Progress is impossible without change, and while sometimes these changes are subtle, they can be the differentiator between success and failure. Aquatherm hasn’t changed anything too dramatically with the latest rendition of its Blue Aquatherm pipe, but this change is significant. First off, the Blue product is one of the longest-lasting solutions we’ve ever seen for heating and cooling, compressed air, glycol and other brewing applications. Second off, the product just got a little smarter as Aquatherm’s Blue polypropylene-random (PP-R) pipe will be predominantly blue now with a thinner green stripe so it can be identified easily as Blue Pipe from any angle.

It’s a tiny change but important for brewhouse managers when identifying lines and working on them. Additionally, the markings on the Aquatherm Blue Pipe, Green Pipe, Lilac Pipe and Red Pipe have been modified to make the standard dimension ratio (SDR) line of print larger for easier identification and recognition. The type of pipe series and SDR markings will be a continuous print strip along the full length of the pipes’ packaging. The type of pipe (MF, UV, etc.) will also be included. Learn what all those different color pipes are for right here.

Note

Although the stripes between the old and new Blue Pipe may not line up perfectly, fusing the new Blue Pipe with the old pipe style will not cause any problems and the difference will only be aesthetic. Both versions of the Blue Pipe will be in circulation until the current stock of the old version has been completely sold.
