The Brewers Association (the BA, but not this BA) is the trade group for craft brewers. The not-for-profit just announced its 2017 Board of Directors, and it’s a who’s who of the indie brewing industry. What do these Directors do? Well, the Board guides the strategic direction and governs the activities of the professional division of the BA, as well as the American Homebrewers Association, Brewers Publications and BA events including the Great American Beer Festival, Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America and SAVOR. Rob Tod, founder of Allagash Brewing Co., leads the board as chair, serving his second term.

“In the face of many exciting opportunities and challenges, this is a dynamic time to be a small and independent brewer,” said Tod. “It is an honor to serve and speak for this growing community of innovators who push the envelope when it comes to brewing. I look forward to working alongside many of my admired craft brewing colleagues to continue making this a great industry, both for those who work in it and the beer lovers who get to enjoy it.”
