Celebrate summer with seasonal offerings from Ninkasi Brewing Company

June 4, 2013Laura Morgan

Ale Radiant
Ninkasi Brewing Company will release its Radiant Ale seasonal beer in June.

Ninkasi Brewing Company invites all craft beer drinkers alike to celebrate lazy days ahead with returning summer seasonals and new variety packs.

Ninkasi will present Summer Variety 4-packs and 12-packs starting in June. These variety packs are a sampling of Ninkasi’s steadfast favorites paired with seasonal brews, in one case for easy sharing and sampling.

The Summer Variety 4-Packs include Total Domination IPA, Believer Double Red, Radiant Ale and Maiden the Shade. The 12-packs will be available throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Alaska only, containing three, 12-ounce bottles of Total Domination IPA, Oatis Oatmeal Stout, Radiant Ale and Nuptiale Cream Ale.

Nankasi fans also look forward to some of the seasonal craft beers. Drawing inspiration from favored warm-weather experiences, Radiant Ale and Maiden the Shade truly capture the best part of summer in the Northwest.

Earthy and floral hops balance Radiant Ale, a Northwest-style pale ale with a touch of Crystal and Vienna malts for flavor. Crisp and flavorful, Radiant Ale is a clean-finishing summer offering in the Ninkasi tradition. The multiple hop varieties are grassy and earthy in tone and differentiate Radiant from most of the citrus forward Northwest Pale Ales.

Maiden Shade
Ninkasi Brewing Company fans should be on the look out for Maiden the Shade, which will be released in June.

The Maiden the Shade is a summer IPA with a big, robust hop character from the liberal use of seven different hop varieties. It’s completed with a light-colored malt backbone to stay in balance.

“Our summer beers reflect the playful part of life,” explains Jamie Floyd, founding brewer and co-owner of Ninkasi Brewing Company. “From barbeques in the park, floating down the river, enjoying music festivals and especially chilling on the front porch, these beers are adventurous while still characteristically balanced and easy to drink.”

Each beer will be available in 12- and 22-ounce bottles and on-draft June through September.
