Check out this fully sustainable concept for treating brewery wastewater (and vote for it)

August 13, 2018Chris Crowell

CBB readers, we found an innovative wastewater treatment idea called the NuTree that we are excited to share with you. It’s an eco-focused solution for dealing with wastewater that uses completely natural processes. Even better, the founders want to focus on microbreweries as its key market segment. But it’s still in the concept and funding stages.

We didn’t want to write about it until it was officially available, but we found an excuse to share a sneak peek: NuLeaf, the company, is a semi-finalist for the main stage of Verge Accelerate 2018, a local clean tech/circular economy event. The pitch video is above, to give you an idea of the approach of the NuTree, and if you are as inspired as we are by it, throw a vote their way right here before August 20.

More info is on the NuLeaf website. Hopefully we’ll have much more to say about this idea in the near future.
