Now this is a collaboration. Cincinnati Distilling is promoting Joe Nuxhall Baseball Bat Aged Bourbon, a collaboration with the Joe Nuxhall Foundation that was, yes, infused with maple baseball bats during the aging process.
This 90-proof bourbon, features a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley that pays homage to Reds legend Joe Nuxhall.
“Oh, how my Dad would have enjoyed this partnership with Cincinnati Distilling,” said Kim Nuxhall, president and board chairman of The Nuxhall Foundation. “He loved Cincinnati because it’s a community built on compassion and character, and by sharing his love of the game through this insanely-creative bourbon, Cincinnati Distilling will help us create even greater opportunities for athletes with disabilities. He would have been so grateful–and he also would’ve been the first in line for a sample!”
Joe Nuxhall Foundation
The Joe Nuxhall Foundation, a cornerstone of this partnership, works to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families through adaptive recreation and community initiatives. Central to their mission are the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields, a state-of-the-art, accessible baseball facility where players of all abilities can experience the thrill of the game. Partial proceeds from every bottle sold will support the foundation’s efforts to provide inclusive opportunities and ensure everyone gets a chance to play.
“We’re honored to team up with the Joe Nuxhall Foundation to craft a bourbon that celebrates Joe’s legacy while giving back to the community,” said Josh Engel, marketing director of Cincinnati Distilling. “The maple baseball bat aging process brings an interesting character to this bourbon, and we can’t wait for fans to taste it.”
