COVID-19 and craft beer: Untappd created a central hub of breweries with contact-less delivery and pickup services

As the COVID-19 health crisis has caused many restaurants, pubs, and breweries to stop all on-premise service, many are now offering beers to-go, delivery, curbside pick-up, gift cards, and more. Untappd has created a central hub, Gregslist, to support the breweries, bars, and restaurants who have switched to contact-less delivery and pickup methods during this time.

“The list is a mixture of moderated crowdsourced data, direct editing by Untappd for Business customers, and the efforts of the Untappd team,” noted Kyle Roderick, SVP of Product, Untappd. “Businesses, including breweries, are able to see their details live on the list and propose edits.”

Untappd is displaying a global collection of almost 5 million locations that have a checked-in beer on Untappd. They wanted to create the most comprehensive list they could for the beverage industry using the power of Untappd location data.

Gregslist, a nod to the app’s founder Greg Avola, allows businesses to mark whether they’ll be remaining open to deliver food or beer to go, links to beer and food menus, and provides contact information for both Untappd customers and non-customers. Venues are searchable by city and serves Untappd’s 8M users venues nearest to them based on IP address.
