Fieldwork Brewing now operates six locations in northern California

November 13, 2018Pretty Much a Press Release

An ambassador for craft beer in Berkeley, Calif., Fieldwork Brewing Co. announced it is expanding its northern California footprint to six locations with a new taproom and beer garden opening at City Center Bishop Ranch in the Tri-Valley region. Fieldwork’s latest local outpost follows the brewery’s recent openings of European-style beer gardens in San Mateo and Monterey. The Fieldwork Taproom and Beer Garden at City Center Bishop Ranch features a 2,400-sq-ft indoor taproom and 2,700-sq-ft outdoor beer garden.

This autumn, Fieldwork expands to six locations all within a 120-mile radius of its West Berkeley brewery. The sole beer company onsite at City Center Bishop Ranch, the new Fieldwork Taproom and Beer Garden opens with upwards of 16 beers on the menu including a handful of library releases that will be exclusively available at the San Ramon location. The interior of the taproom features redwood for the bar and wall paneling that’s reclaimed from the roof of San Francisco’s Pier 31. The family and dog friendly beer garden includes two custom designed fire pits, natural gas heaters, and guests are welcome to bring in food from any of the fine restaurants at City Center.

“We are excited to open the Fieldwork Taproom and Beer Garden at City Center Bishop Ranch and bring our fresh, locally brewed beer to the Tri-Valley. I grew up in the valley and we have been searching for the ideal place to expand our presence in the East Bay. City Center is that place. It will be a fantastic destination and we are pleased to be joining so many complementary merchants,” says Barry Braden, co-founder and owner of Fieldwork Brewing Company.

Brewing well over 400 unique beers since opening its West Berkeley brewery in February 2015, Fieldwork brews with as much a sense of purpose as a sense of place as they honor Northern California’s magnificent outdoor landscapes with an array of idiosyncratic beers. The esteemed brewing team focuses on innovation for its ever-evolving roster of highly aromatic and well-balanced beers. Based on seasonality and consistent quality, Fieldwork forges its own path, brewing beers they simply love to drink.

Walking into Fieldwork Brewing locales is never the same experience twice with their ambitious brewing program featuring signature IPAs, Double IPAs, lagers, pale ales, sours, stouts, etc. Bay Area regulars and out of town visitors can always rely on enjoying an onslaught of beer varieties with the tasting menu in constant rotation. Some beers reappear and others never repeat.

The Fieldwork Taproom and Beer Garden at City Center Bishop Ranch is located on the corner of Camino Ramon and Bishop Drive at 6000 Bollinger Canyon Road, Suite 1206. City Center Bishop Ranch is a 300,000-sq-ft shopping, dining and entertainment destination designed by the acclaimed Renzo Piano Building Workshop.
