Flying Dog/Reyes Beverage Group release Bloodline Blood Orange IPA for Craft Brewers Conference

March 13, 2013Keith Gribbins

Bloodline Blood Orange IPAThe Craft Brewers Conference and BrewExpo America is looking to be the biggest event in craft brewing this year, held March 26-29 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Going into its 30th year, the conference promises to be one of the biggest of its kind ever, boasting approximately 6,000 brewing industry professionals and 400 exhibitors. Apparently the conference will even be boasting its own beer, brewed specifically for the event.

One such brew is called Bloodline Blood Orange IPA, a collaborative project with Reyes Beverage Group and Flying Dog Brewery. Bloodline is an intensely-hopped IPA brewed with Blood Orange peel and juice. According to the Flying Dog blog:

According to our Brewmaster Matt Brophy, the result is a flavor profile that harnessed the best aspects of both the hops (Warrior, Citra and Galaxy) and the citrus. He and his brewing team are very fond of hop-based citrus aromas, so experimenting with actual citrus was a natural extension of that.

Bloodline will be available on draft only during the Craft Brewers Conference starting March 26. To find it on tap near you, like Flying Dog on Facebook and/or follow them on Twitter.
