Art, nature and beer: We definitely dig Founders Brewing’s #SessionBoldly campaign

July 19, 2016Keith Gribbins

To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower. Hold infinity in the palms of your hand and eternity in an hour. In my painfully preoccupied mind, I like to think those opening lines from William Blake’s “Auguries of Innocence” poem are about exploring nature with a good beer in your hand. Perhaps it’s that same predilection for the beer/nature arts that drew my interest to Founders Brewing Co.’s #SessionBoldly campaign.

The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based brewhouse is creating art with its artful beer while celebrating the beauty of exploring our rare earth. Founders is enticing customers to share photos of its outdoor adventures taken with its All Day IPA (Founders’ can-friendly sesh). Some of these photos will be made into genuine art by Camp Illustrated, which is the moniker Matt McAdow — a social media marauder who has made a name recreating Instagram photos into elegant, little illustrations that embody quirky charm. Just watch the video above to see McAdow’s talent.

In conclusion: Some are born to sweet delight. Some are born to endless night (same poem, guys). Just share those sweet delights/endless nights photos on Instagram with #SessionBoldly, and McAdow might illustrate that photo and send it to you. Check out the details here.
