Free anti-sexual violence training for beer pros via Women of the Vine & Spirits

March 2, 2022Chris Crowell

Allegations of sexual violence and harassment continue to be an issue in the beverage alcohol and hospitality industries, and Women of the Vine & Spirits (WOTVS) has continued to take action. In 2020, WOTVS contracted RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization, to develop an industry specific training available to anyone in the industry.

For the second year in a row, WOTVS is offering Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Training trainings open to anyone in the alcohol beverage and hospitality industries free of charge. You can register for Level 1 and Level 2 trainings here.

“We have continued to see allegations, but so few are taking action to provide our industries with actionable and tangible resources,” says Olivia Campbell, Community Relations Coordinator, Women of the Vine & Spirits. “Our Level 1 & 2 trainings with RAINN address the complexities of today’s climate through trauma-informed education to increase awareness around sexual misconduct and strategies for prevention. These sessions are live on zoom and are interactive.”

And if you don’t think you our your organization needs such a training, please read this related Q&A from our archives, Why your brewery needs active bystander training:
