Great Lakes Brewing Co.’s ancient brewing arts in action

June 28, 2013Jason Morgan

Last week, we brought you news of Great Lakes Brewing Co. diving into ancient Sumerian brewing arts to create its latest craft concoction. In northeast Ohio, and Ohio in general, Great Lakes Brewing Co. is kind of a big deal. So it’s not surprising to see a local news channel, WKYC, latch onto the story. What is surprising is the seeing the ancient brewing process in action.

In the video, Great Lakes Brewing’s Marissa DeSantis called it “analogue, off-the-grid brewing.” Here in the Craft Brewing Business office, we’re calling it “pretty f*****g awesome.” Unfortunately for beer lovers, the brew will not be sold, but may be available at special events in the future.
