What’s your story? We nominate Night Shift Distributing.

The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA, not be confused with the WNBA) recently announced the return of the Share Your Story Contest for beer distribution employees who have never attended NBWA’s Legislative Conference. The contest is intended to highlight some of the 135,000 men and women who make up the beer distribution industry — from truck drivers, inventory specialists and graphic artists to sales representatives, warehouse workers and administrative personnel.

“The American beer distribution industry is strong because of the amazing people who work in it and the passion they have for the work they do in communities across the country,” said NBWA President and CEO Craig Purser. “NBWA is looking forward to sharing their powerful stories and showcasing the quality local jobs that make all of us proud to be a part of this great system.”

To enter the contest, beer distribution employees will visit NBWA on Facebook and:

  1. Like NBWA’s Facebook page.
  2. Fill out the Share Your Story Contest entry form on NBWA’s Facebook page. Provide an on-the-job photo, company information and a short explanation of why they love working in the beer distribution industry. Details may include what they do, how long they have worked in the industry and how their career began. Other details may include how their company positively impacts their community and any colorful stories that paint a picture of the vibrant jobs in the beer distribution industry.
  3. Receive bonus points by sharing the submission on Twitter and Instagram. Entrants should tag @NBWABeer #MyBeerStory on Twitter, and tag their picture on Instagram with @FollowYourBeer #MyBeerStory.

Entries may be submitted until March 10, 2017. Please contact NBWA Editorial Assistant Sara Neiman at [email protected] or (703) 683-4300 with any questions.

The winner will receive a complimentary trip to the 2017 NBWA Legislative Conference April 30-May 3 in Washington, D.C., and will learn more about policy issues impacting the beer industry and consumers. The winner also will have the opportunity to attend meetings on Capitol Hill and educate congressional staff on the role beer distributors play in their community.

“The NBWA Legislative Conference is a great chance for members of Congress and their staff to hear directly from their constituents who can describe firsthand the impact of the beer distribution business in the communities where they live and work,” Purser said.

The winner will be notified by March 20.
