Hopsteiner launches interactive, global hops website

Head to the new Hopsteiner site (pictured) and scroll down. You know you wanna.

Hopsteiner, one of the world’s largest growers and distributors of hops, brought on The EGC Group Craft Beverage Division to redevelop its website. The global company wanted to combine its disparate, outdated sites into one all new global hops website, and the result is pretty awesome. See for yourself right here.

The new website incorporates a ton of bells and whistles to enhance the hop procurement experience — bold photography, HD video, an interactive visual hops selection grid, dynamically generated hop variety data sheets, brewing calculators, custom sales video, advanced eCRM, interactive global sales rep map and a social wall — are among some of the new features.

“We created a stylish new visual identity for this 176-year old brand that included specific colors and fonts,” EGC noted about the process. “We created a homogenous look throughout the websites and customer backend portals.”

The shining star of the new website is Hopsteiner’s Hop Varieties Grid. EGC took all-new hops photography, capturing the unique personality of every hop variety. Hopsteiner’s extensive list of hops can be easily perused and sorted by growing region, new and experimental varieties, aroma characteristics, by percentage of alpha content and more.

Click on any hop to launch its Hop Variety Data Sheet (VDS). The VDS pulls real-time data into an easy-to-read and shareable data sheet. Learn about a hop’s variety-specific data, including: aroma specifications, genetic origin, agronomic aspects, hop alternatives and more.
