Knoxville Craft Beer Week makes big splash this June

May 31, 2013Laura Morgan

Knoxville Tennessee Craft Beer Week
Get ready Knoxville! The Knoxville Craft Beer Week schedule spreads from Saturday, June 22 through Saturday, June 29 and consists of a diverse collection of beer-centric events such as special cask-tapping events with beers brewed especially for KCBW, a charity 5k, beer-pairing brunches and dinners, infusion nights and more.

Tennessee breweries rejoice! Following in the footsteps of great craft beer meccas such as Asheville, N.C., and Atlanta, Ga., Knoxville now has its own Craft Beer Week to celebrate.

Culminating in the Knoxville Brewfest, Knoxville Craft Beer Week is a week of special events celebrating the beauty of craft brews. The week’s schedule spreads from Saturday, June 22 through Saturday, June 29 and consists of a diverse collection of beer-centric events such as special cask-tapping events with beers brewed especially for KCBW, a charity 5k, beer-pairing brunches and dinners, infusion nights and more.

Current sponsors for the event include Visit Knoxville, Bearden Beer Market, The Casual Pint, Suttree’s High Gravity Tavern, The Market in Maryville, Sunspot, Smoky Mountain Brewery, SawWorks Brewing Company, Central Flats & Taps, Eagle Distributing Company, Cherokee Distributing Company, BountyBev and many other local establishments.

The event is organized by the Knoxville Craft Beer Week Association, a collection of local folks who felt it was time to put Knoxville on the Craft Beer Map. The association strongly supports the efforts of the TN Craft Brewers Guild, a non-profit focusing on representing the interests of professional brewers in Tennessee. Therefore, a portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the TN Craft Brewers Guild.
