NBWA’s Annual Convention to feature panel on “Main Street Fueling Wall Street”

September 24, 2014Jason Morgan

National Beer WholesalersThe National Beer Wholesalers Association’s (NBWA) 77th Annual Convention will take place Sept. 28–Oct. 1 at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans in (you guessed it) New Orleans. It’s not too late to register.

During the general session on Tuesday, Sept. 30, President of G&M Distributors Inc. Adam Vitale will moderate the panel, “Main Street Fueling Wall Street.” Participants include:

  • Mike Mazzoni, former president, Barton Beers Ltd. and senior partner, Seema International;
  • Benj Steinman, publisher and editor, Beer Marketer’s Inisghts Inc.;
  • Trevor Stirling, analyst, Sanford C. Bernstein; and
  • John Williams, president, Beer Industry League of Louisiana.

This panel of beer industry experts and observers — ranging from a Wall Street analyst to an advocate of Main Street beer distribution businesses — will address the globalized, yet intensely local beer industry from all angles.

“NBWA is excited to bring together this panel of veteran beer industry observers to discuss the current risks and opportunities that exist in today’s marketplace,” said NBWA President and CEO Craig Purser. “From Wall Street attempts at guessing the next big merger to understanding the industry landscape on Main Street and across state capitols, this promises to be a provocative and exciting discussion.”

Will there be more global brewery mergers? What will the market do with thousands of new brewers? How do global politics and state alcohol regulations intersect? The panel will address these questions and more.
