Growing a successful business takes a team effort. Maintaining a top craft brewery, for instance, requires the right mix of smart and high-spirited employees who are fair and diligent, highly skilled, by-the-book and hardworking boots on the ground. To find these types of marquee employees, businesses like New Glarus Brewing Co. look no further than veterans from America’s armed forces. Late last year, New Glarus Brewing co-founder Deb Carey met Barack Obama with a number of small business owners at the White House (click here for a great photo of it). She brought back some White House beer from the event (White House Honey Ale and Honey Porter), which she shares with her veteran employees in this video. She also takes the opportunity to promote how important these hardworking veteran co-workers are to her brewery, which makes her look pretty darn cool.
