Can another brewery please sell out to AB InBev? Beer Twitter is so bored that they’ve turned their rage to comedic hyperbole.

Let’s put this whole Jim Gaffigan thing to bed, folks.

Jim Gaffigan is a mildly funny comedian doing his job. Who knows what he thinks beer should taste like? Fruity Kolsch tastes like beer, mango Double IPAs taste like beer and bourbon barrel aged Porters with coffee and vanilla notes taste like beer. Because they all are beer! They don’t taste like Miller High Life circa 1981 but they still taste like beer. Everybody has their own favorite and probably some beers that they don’t drink. Gaffigan is welcome to his opinion, vague as it is, but it really doesn’t matter one bit. This slightly overweight white guy (me) is going to seek out bold, flavorful, high-octane IPAs, Stouts and Porters from around the world no matter what that slightly overweight white guy (Gaffigan) says about it. I am being a little generous to both of us with the word slightly. Now can we dig into the meaning of high-octane?
