On May 20, Perrin Brewing Co. invited the public to enjoy a day of bikes and beers to benefit kids in the Grand Rapids Community.

Perrin partnered with Can’d Aid, West Michigan Mountain Bike Alliance (WMMBA) and Central District Cyclery to bring professional downhill trails rider Jeff Lenosky to Wahlfield Park in Comstock Park. Lenosky hosted a Tips & Tricks performance, and Central District’s demo fleet of about 12 bikes were available to check out.

Afterward, visitors headed down the road from Wahlfield Park to The Perrin Pub for bike-building and beers. Can’d Aid donated 66 bikes to build for the entire first grade class of Cesar E. Chavez Elementary. Everyone on hand pitched in and helped get kids on a new bike.

Today, bikes and helmets will be presented to first graders at Cesar E. Chavez Elementary. Awesome stuff.
