The dec Rooftop Lounge + Bar, located at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, has unveiled a new summer beer that it’s hoping will please everyone’s taste buds. The dec worked with Ale Syndicate Brewery to produce this American Pale Ale called Tailor Fitted (as it’s a customized beer made just for you).
The name Tailor Fitted came about because it encompasses The Ritz’s philosophy about customer service and hospitality to create tailored experiences for each guest and heightening an experience by adding personal touches. Tailor Fitted is an American Pale Ale with wheat characteristics. It is brewed with Pilsner, Wheat and Munich Malts with Galena, Simcoe and Wakatu hops. Tailor Fitted is a lighter style ale that packs a punch with its complexity and slight hop bite. This beer comes in at 5.3 percent alcohol by volume. It is finished with just enough hops to please the IPA drinker but not enough to scare away the wheat drinker.
The concept for this beer came from the bar staff’s interaction with its patrons. Over months of interacting with guests and seeing what they ordered, it seemed like a perfect fit to start brainstorming based on feedback to make a test batch for the hotel’s beer.
The dec is open Sunday-Wednesday from noon to 10 p.m. and Thursday-Saturday from noon to midnight.
