The new PicoBrew countertop brewing gizmo can now be pre-ordered

October 5, 2017Chris Crowell

PicoBrew’s Pico Model C, the countertop craft beer brewery that took Kickstarter by storm this spring, is now shipping to Kickstarter backers, and is now available for pre-order. Created by beer enthusiasts, for beer enthusiasts, the Pico Model C enables users to brew fresh beers from breweries around the world, or craft their own recipes using the PicoBrew FreeStyle editor. For pro brewers, the technology can be a big help when experimenting with new ingredients or recipes and doing so faster and with consistency.

During this limited pre-order period while Kickstarter units are being fulfilled, Pico Model C may be ordered for the special discounted price of only $469 from PicoBrew.com. Pre-orders will begin shipping in the order they are received on November 1, in time for the holiday gifting season. Following the pre-order period, Pico Model C will be available for purchase online and in-store at Best Buy and other leading national retailers for $549 USD.

How it works

Pico Model C leverages PicoBrew’s patented beer process technology and worldwide market leadership established during three earlier generations of product but further simplifies cleaning and fermentation. A reimagined brewing keg is one of the key features of the new model: the removable top and dishwasher-safe design make cleaning the keg easier than ever, while an improved hose connection system does away with tricky ball-lock connectors. Fermentation tracking is also simplified, especially when using the (optional) new PicoFerm WiFi-connected fermentation monitor. Finally, the addition of dozens of new PicoPaks during the summer, including the soon to be available Kombucha Paks, has made the system uniquely attractive.

With the new Pico Model C, users can brew five liters of fresh craft beer in about two hours. Beer is then fermented and carbonated, and in six to 14 days it is ready to chill and serve! Pico Model C uses compostable PicoPaks, which contain the fresh, pre-measured hops and grains needed to brew fresh, brewery-quality craft beers. Pico Model C uses recipe time, temperature and fluid-flow parameters, and approved grains, hops and water amendments in each PicoPak to reproduce perfect beer every time.

The Pico C stakes its claim as the ultimate kitchen appliance, given that customers can brew not only great beers from breweries around the world, but also kombucha. The Pico Model C has a modern, black powder-coated exterior, high-contrast two-line OLED display and easy-to-use, dishwasher-safe Pico C Keg with a simplified hose connection. Included in the kit is the brewing appliance, Brewing Keg and 5L serving keg. PicoPaks and CO2 carbonation kit will be sold separately.
