This Allagash 25th anniversary sweepstakes will give 25 winners a virtual happy hour with James Beard award-winning Founder Rob Tod

June 23, 2020Keith Gribbins

A lot of fans from far away have never been closer with Allagash Brewing Co. The Portland, Maine-based brewing brand has created cool virtual opportunities to engage with its customers, who could be anywhere in the world as long as they have a device and an internet connection. It went digital early with its Saison Day celebration April 3 and helped host a virtual happy hour with Russian River Brewing Co. on May 7. Now Allagash Brewing is celebrating its 25th anniversary (that’s this year) with the Share Allagash Sweepstakes on social media, encouraging brewery fans to share memorable moments they’ve had with Allagash beer over the years.

The sweepstakes will give 25 fans a chance to take part in a virtual happy hour chat with Allagash Founder Rob Tod and receive an Allagash prize pack valued at $25 which includes an Allagash pint glass, bottle opener and baseball hat. From the press release:

“We have loved sharing Allagash with so many people over the last 25 years,” said Rob Tod, founder of Allagash. “Now we want to thank our fans for their ongoing support and look back at all of the amazing memories we’ve been lucky enough to be a part of since we first opened our doors in 1995.”

If you win, some good conversation topics might be Allagash’s new packaging formats for 2020 (its White six-pack bottles and Allagash River Trip going into 12-pack cans) and the Little Grove by Allagash brand — a new family of beers originating from Allagash’s pilot system, including two new light, sparkling session ales infused with fresh fruit, with 100 calories per 12-oz can, including peach and kombucha (3.6 percent abv) and blackcurrants (3.8 percent abv).

To enter, fans are encouraged to post a photo on Instagram sharing their favorite Allagash memory with the hashtag #shareallagashsweeps and tag @allagashbrewing. Photos can also be uploaded on the Allagash website.

The sweepstakes will run between 9:00 a.m. EST on June 24, 2020, and 11:59 p.m. EST on July 31, 2020. Winners will be announced by August 17. Additional rules and contest terms and conditions can be found on the Allagash website.
