TTB pro tip: Supply enough info about your ingredients (these spec sheets will help)

Your pals at the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) say one of the most common problems they see in beer formula applications is not supplying adequate information about one or more of the ingredients listed in the formula.

Most commonly, we are looking for an ingredient specification sheet, which is required for ingredients (excluding compounded flavors) comprised of multiple ingredients.

An ingredient specification sheet or spec sheet, is a document (or copy of a product label) that lists or describes the contents of an ingredient used to make your alcohol beverage.

Learn more about spec sheets and the other common types of supporting documents the TTB needs for certain ingredients with these handy spec sheets.
