Victory Brewing Co., Key Ingredient Market introduce craft beer-inspired gourmet cheese spreads

June 13, 2014Jason Morgan

Victory Brewing Cheese Spreads
Victory Cheddar Spreads will be available mid-June in Whole Foods Markets in Northern New Jersey, New York and Western Connecticut, as well as Victory’s’ Downingtown retail store.

Food and beer often go hand-in-hand. That’s especially true for brewpubs, which we covered extensively in The Brewpub Files. So, it’s not a huge surprise that Victory Brewing Co. joined forces with Key Ingredient Market, the Bath, Penn.-based producer of fresh dips and spreads, to introduce three cheddar cheese spreads blending specialty Wisconsin cheddar with Victory beer brands.

Victory Cheddar Spreads merge the fresh, quality ingredients and long-standing traditions of both companies to create interesting flavor profiles for cheese and beer advocates alike. Flavors include HopDevil Cheddar Spread – bold and balanced flavors of HopDevil Ale are the perfect foil to jalapeños and chipotles in a creamy cheddar base; Headwaters Cheddar Dip – a blend of pineapple, papaya, ginger and curry with the crisp, clean essence of Headwaters Pale Ale; Golden Monkey Cheddar Spread – profiles the spicy, herbal qualities of the light-bodied, full-flavored beer with the classic, creamy tang of cheddar.

“Collaboration has always been one of the cornerstones of the craft beer movement because it breeds a creative, passionate environment where the possibilities for growth expand infinitely,” said Victory’s President and Brewmaster Bill Covaleski. “It makes perfect sense to unite with an equally passionate company, Key Ingredient Market, to create the delicious sum which we hope everyone will enjoy, of two, compatible parts.”
