Watch: Excellent Ardagh video shows the ‘alchemy’ behind recycled glass bottle production

April 21, 2021Keith Gribbins

Ardagh Group is equally adept at producing cans and bottles for craft brewers. Ardagh Group Glass-North America operates 13 glass facilities, and the company’s metal beverage division boasts 11 aluminum packaging production facilities throughout the Americas. The company is a titan in beverage and food packaging.

When it comes to glass bottles, Ardagh produces 100 percent infinitely recyclable glass packaging in all shapes and sizes for some of the globe’s biggest brands. It offers a choice of 16 color options in North America. For instance, an amber beer bottle is an excellent choice for beer, providing 99.9 percent protection from UV rays, and Ardagh is quick to note that glass is a great insulator, keeping “beer colder longer than any other type of single-serve packaging.”

Also, did we mention it was infinitely recyclable?

Craft brewers who are interested in buying bottles by the pallet from Ardagh can visit Beer.BuyOurBottles.com, and to learn more about how Ardagh’s bottles are produced and recycled, watch the video above. It’s very well produced. Ardagh makes the recycling and reproduction of recycled bottles look and sound epic. Great voiceover (“Glass is an alchemy of minerals and compounds”) matched with some great images. A must watch.
