Watch: After four years, Virginia’s Rocket Frog Brewing finally signs lease in latest web episode

March 8, 2018Keith Gribbins

Planning and building a brewery can be a brutal journey. It’s capital intensive, it requires specific real estate and, even when the loans and leases are signed, it takes months to physically engineer. It’s a process of patience and persistence that David and Richard Hartogs have been going through for the last four years. In their latest web episode above, the Hartogs’ Rocket Frog Brewing Co. finally finds a prime location (Glenn Drive, Sterling, Va.).

The videos above and below are a part of our new favorite beer serial created by Landmark Media Production. To capture the grueling amount of hurdles required to open a brewery, Rocket Frog Brewing and Landmark have slowly been releasing this YouTube series to promote the opening of the northern Virginia brewery in April. We’ll hit Rocket Frog this summer to report on the opening firsthand. Till then, enjoy the Hartogs twins in the episodes below fire their brewer, find new real estate brokers, go over brewery sites and discover constant challenges while learning to open a craft brewery.
