Watch Summit Brewing and Karben4 Brewing discuss their ‘colla-brew-ation’

April 22, 2014Keith Gribbins

Donning an awesome red Millennium Falcon T, Ryan Koga from Karben4 Brewing (Madison, Wis.) discusses the intricacies of his collaboration beer with Mike Lundell and Summit Brewing Co. (St. Paul, Minn.). It’s called the MACCC Daddy, and it’s being brewed for Madison Craft Beer Week 2014 (May 2-11).

“We’re going to invent a new style here,” explains Koga in the video above. “We’re going to build a bridge from the traditional dry-hopped red that you may have had and then build a bridge to the red IPA style.”

So you know: this MACCC Daddy “colla-brew-ation” stands for its unique hop approach — Mosaic, Amarillo, Citra, Centennial and Chinook. These guys are pretty entertaining to watch. Plus, they get real technical on this particular brew. Enjoy.
