Madison Chemical phosphate-free ACID-N

Booth 2917

Madison chemical

Madison Chemical will introduce phosphate-free MadBrew ACID-N in booth 2917 at the Craft Brewers Conference. Designed specifically for the needs of craft brewers, this blend of acid and low-foaming surfactant penetrates and remove films, oxides, hard water, mineral salts, milkstone, beerstone and similar dairy and food plant deposits by cleaning in place. It is completely safe on stainless steel and will not etch, pit or in any way attack these metals. Its phosphate-free formulation is ideal for use in locations where the use of phosphates are restricted or soon will be.

MadBrew ACID-N is acceptable for use in food and beverage plants as an A3 acid cleaner for use in all departments. Best results occur when used as an acid rinse following alkaline CIP cleaning. Suggested concentrations of approximately 0.5 to 3 percent by volume in the recirculating tank at temperatures from ambient to 160°F. Periodical use of MadBrew ACID-N at higher concentrations of up to 10 percent by volume in water will ensure removal of all scale. Exact dilutions and temperatures are dependent on specific applications, product residue type and soil load.

Before using MadBrew ACID-N, food products and packaging materials must be removed from the room or carefully protected. After use, all surfaces in the area must be thoroughly rinsed with potable water. Standard operating procedures may need to be developed for specific concentration and temperature. Madison Chemical representatives are available to assist.

Madison Chemical is a chemical formulator which provides cleaning, sanitation and maintenance products for the craft brewing industry. They also produce products for the surface preparation, metalworking, food processing, industrial maintenance, transportation, wastewater treatment, winery, pulp and paper and other industries. Since 1947 they have served customers from their Madison, Ind., headquarters and through a nationwide network of direct technical sales representatives.
