Your brewery can host a Can’d Aid bike or skateboard build

May 22, 2025Pretty Much a Press Release

Want to make memories with your community and make a difference in the lives of local kids? Host a Can’d Aid bike or skateboard build!

Can’d Aid is ae national nonprofit that rallies volunteers to become catalysts of change, and it has partnered with craft breweries since 2013 to build and donate more than 20,000 bikes and skateboards to kids nationwide.

“We love partnering with Can’d Aid,” said Oskar Blues Marketing and Events Manager Bryan Townsend. “They are always professional, provide everything for a successful event, and we know our work together makes a solid impact on our communities.”

Can’d Aid events

Through Can’d Aid’s turn-key events, breweries rally local volunteers to participate in bike building, where they are tasked with assembling Can’d Aid’s signature kid-sized, cherry red bikes or skateboards. Completed bikes or skateboards are then donated to children in high-need schools—!giving them the tools and resources they need to explore their world on wheels!

Perfect for team-building events for staff or community-centric opportunities to bring in new guests, these unforgettable and easy-to-execute events bring hands-on volunteer fun to your tasting room. Can’d Aid’s bike and skateboard builds are known to boost brew fandom, customer loyalty and brand recognition. Plus, gain social content and local media attention for your business.

The first step? Fundraising

Breweries typically choose to offset the cost of giving back in two ways:

1) with help from distributor and retailer industry partnerships that promote collaboration and cross-promotion opportunities, or

2) from fans through dedicated “pint nites” that donate $1 per pint, onsite signage and QR codes and/or donating a percentage of merch sales.

Can’d Aid provides everything else

As a turn-key solution for making a real impact, Can’d Aid provides everything needed to host this one-of-a-kind event, including all POS and social media assets to help you raise money and promote the event. Their team runs the event start-to-finish, providing assembly kits that transform into high-quality bikes and skateboards for first and second graders. Can’d Aid will also coordinate the bike donation to a Title 1 school in your area so the impact stays local.

You can give the gifts of new bikes and skateboards to underserved kids in your community. Your fans will love sipping on their favorite beers while helping kids lead active, healthy lives.
