Check out this growler that’s also a portable kegerator (and order branded versions)

We bumped into the brains behind DrinkTanks at the Great American Beer Fest this year, and we were wowed by all of the thought that went into its products. The old innovation cliché is to “build a better mousetrap,” and DrinkTanks is certainly a better trap, able to pour you the freshest mice a growler can pour.

Sorry, that was a terrible sentence. Let’s just move into the technological explanation of this growler-meets-kegerator innovation.

Here’s what’s cool

drinktanks-growler-benefits

The short story is DrinkTanks, founded in 2013, provides premium stainless steel, double-wall, vacuum insulated growlers and a full line of accessories — all designed and assembled by hand, one at a time, in Bend, Ore. Their latest innovation, The Juggernaut, is the first-ever 1-gallon stainless steel vacuum insulated growler. It was successfully funded earlier this year on Kickstarter, exceeding its goal by a whopping 400 percent.

The key is in the accessories. By adding either of the Keg Cap Accessories, you can turn any DrinkTanks Growler into a personal, portable keg, keeping beer fresh to the very last drop.

  • 18/8 Stainless steel. Constructed from food grade stainless steel that will not retain or impart flavors.
  • Double-wall vacuum insulation. Superior insulation technology that prevents condensation and retains temperature.
  • BPA free. All DrinkTanks products and accessories are completely free of BPA.
24 HOURS COLD, 12 HOURS HOT. Keep your beer cold or your coffee piping hot; great for kombucha, wine, lemonade…anything.
  • Leakproof dual-bail cap. Airtight dual-bail closure prevents liquids and CO2 from escaping and holds up to 60 psi.
