Craft Central adds Atwater Brewery to its N.C. lineup

April 9, 2015Jason Morgan

Craft Central, a dedicated craft beer distributor in North Carolina, announced the addition of Atwater Brewery to its lineup. This growth is part of Craft Central’s commitment to bringing the best beer in the world to the people who love it most. Craft Central will distribute Atwater in existing markets across central North Carolina as well as in the western portion of the state.

“Atwater is a great brand,” said Chris Caffey, president and chief executive officer of Craft Central. “They deserve to be available to the craft beer drinkers in North Carolina. We see great potential for them in our markets.”

Founded in 1997, Atwater Brewery of Detroit brews its brands in a German-imported Kasper Schultz brew house using a brewing process that is more than 200 years old. Its commitment to staying true to the heritage style of traditional German lagers results in distinctly fresh and flavorful beers, Craft Central related in a press release. A few of its most popular brands include Dirty Blonde, Vanilla Java Porter and Decadent Dark Chocolate Ale, a World Beer Cup Bronze Medal Winner.

“Teaming up with Craft Central is a big move for us,” said Mark Rieth, owner of Atwater Brewery. “This partnership gives us the ability to be in larger chains, diverse retailers and more bars and restaurants.”
