Deschutes expands D.C. craft beer offering

April 22, 2015Jason Morgan

Five months ago, Deschutes Brewery made its debut in the nation’s capital with the introduction of several beers on draft and in bottles. Always up for another reason to party, the Oregon brewery is headed east again to celebrate more six-packs. Previously on draft only, the brewery’s Mirror Pond Pale Ale, Black Butte Porter and Fresh Squeezed IPA are now available in bottles in greater D.C. The brewery will also be bringing its summer seasonal, Twilight Summer Ale, as soon as it is available.

The gang from Deschutes is headed to D.C. and Northern Virginia to celebrate in just a few weeks. Specific event locations and times are below, with details forthcoming for events on Saturday, May 9. Stay tuned for those weekend festivities on the Deschutes website.

The brewery is hosting a series of “Meet & Greet” events in the area as part of its launch festivities. It’s the perfect opportunity to try some combination of the beers above while talking beer with representatives from Deschutes who will be visiting from Oregon.

Editor’s note: A free six pack to whomever guesses how many Jaws references this now makes on CBB.com. Sound off in the comments below.
