December 9, 2013Jason Morgan

Dogfish Head Craft Brewery beer is on the way to its first few wholesalers in the state of Wisconsin. Last week, Founder Sam Calagione waved goodbye to the first truck to head to the state in more than two years. The truck was stocked with 90 Minute IPA, Indian Brown Ale, Midas Touch, Palo Santo Marron, Burton Baton, Tweason’ale, 75 Minute IPA, Namaste, Hellhound On My Ale, Sah’Tea, Theobroma and Kvasir.

The company will be supporting the new distribution launch with events focusing on Dogfish Head beer.

The first wholesalers to be appointed in Wisconsin are Frank Beer in Madison, La Crosse Beverage of La Crosse, Kay Distributing in De Pere/Green Bay and Lee Beverage in Oshkosh and Eau Claire. Additional Wisconsin wholesalers are expected to be finalized in the coming weeks, according to the Dogfish Head blog.

Additionally, the brewery will return Dogfish Head beer to the state of Rhode Island with C&C Distributors. Beer will be shipping up to the Ocean State this week and Dogfish Head founder Sam Calagione will be hosting a launch event. Proceeds from the event will support the Beer Education Program at Johnson & Wales University.

Dogfish Head isn’t stopping there. The Dogfish Head blog reported that it will continue to move forward with wholesalers and negotiating state/local regulations in both Indiana and Tennessee. The brewery is aiming for Indiana by the end of the year, but details are not yet final.
